Dorothy Umoh

Dorothy I Umoh is a Nigerian, a Clinical Psychologist. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in psychology and a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Psychology all from the University of uyo. She is a Registered Nurse/Midwife (rtd) . She has worked in various places in her Nursing profession. She started her career at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital. She later transferred her services to Akwa Ibom state civil service Commission where she was deployed to Hospital Management Board still in Akwa Ibom state. From there she was posted to Immanuel General Hospital in Eket, where she worked for some years before she was assigned to Ikot Abasi General hospital, then to Comprehensive Health centre Okon Eket where she served until she retired. While in service, she held various positions. Among such positions was the office of the Chief Matron, Head of different Units, and President of Public Health Coordinators under the Directorate of Public Health in Hospital Management Board (HMB)Akwa Ibom state. She took part in American Heart Association training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. She did her clinical internship training at the Neuropsychiatric Hospital Calabar, Nigerian prisons Uyo, Family court Uyo, Centre for Research And Information On Substance Abuse (CRISA), and Providence People’s Home uyo.

Dorothy Umoh is a member of the International Society of Substance Use Professionals. (ISSUP Global and Nigeria chapter. )
She is a teacher of Psycho-cybernetics, and a leadership trainer, she regularly speaks at conferences, seminars, and workshops on human development, health, and wellness .she is a woman leader, lover of youth, and passionate about youth wellbeing. She is God-fearing with a passion for the oppressed. She is currently a Lecturer at the College of Health Technology Etinan. Dorothy Umoh comes from Ikot Abasi Local Government Area, She is married to Sir (Dr)Idorenyin Umoh, a Medical practitioner and a Senior Lecturer at the University of uyo. She is blessed with lovely children.
